County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust
Medanets is being implemented alongside Cerner Millennium providing a mobile offering for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust’s EPR programme. Through their work together, Cerner and Medanets are helping the Trust to realise their vision ‘Right First Time Every Time’, which summarises their commitment to the quality of care.
Medanets is included within the 10-year deal Cerner signed with the Trust. For Medanets, this is their first customer in the UK. Medanets’ scope includes mobile patient card, bedside eOBS, care activities and risk assessments, complementing the client’s EPR workflows and Cerner’s mobile offering. All in all, the offering enables the Trust to greatly enhance its digital capabilities to deliver safe and effective care to its patients.
Mobility has been transformational for how our staff deliver care at our organisation. With the combined Cerner and Medanets offering we believe that we can build on our existing functionality to further enhance patient safety and experience. There is a huge commitment and collaborative working between the Cerner, Medanets and CDDFT teams to get it right for both the patients and staff.

Dr Shaji Chacko, Clinical Advisor and Clinical Safety Officer with Medanets, who has worked on the opportunity for the past years, adds: ‘I am so pleased to have worked on this opportunity that transforms the way my colleagues work. The solution improves efficiency and helps the staff make better informed decisions.
