Medanets & Kanta-Häme Hospital District
Kanta-Häme Hospital District, Hämeenlinna Region, has used Medanets mobile point-of-care app since 2011. They are one of the first customers of Medanets.
The app was first introduced at Kanta-Häme Hospital District‘s Acute Neurology ward in 2011. Since then, the use of the solution has expanded to seven wards, two of which also use Medanets patient monitoring feature.
The implementation went very well, and during that time we got support when we needed it. Negotiations with Medanets also worked well – e.g. meetings flexibly with Skype when needed to change the plans.

Immediate access to real-time patient data
With Medanets app, patient-related information and observation values are recorded directly into the Electronic Health Record via mobile device while with the patient. In this way, care staff is able to improve the efficiency and accuracy of documentation, also making it possible for all healthcare professionals to have immediate access to real-time patient data.
At first, the solution was deployed in wards with Windows Mobile devices. In the summer of 2017, the mobile devices were exchanged for Android smartphones, and thus the wards also got access to the latest, upgraded version of the Medanets mobile documentation application. New devices and an updated version of the application bring more comfort to nursing.
Feedback from care staff has been positive
During my 30-year career as a nurse, Medanets has been the biggest and most significant advance in making nursing easier.
Nurse Outi Heinilä, Kanta-Häme Hospital District
