Evangelisches Krankenhaus Bethanien gGmbH in Greifswald is launching a comprehensive digitization project, relying on the combined expertise of Mesalvo and its partner Medanets. With the signing of the contract, a strategic partnership begins, which also marks the end of paper-based documentation at the specialist clinic.
Kick-off in July: The Path Toward a Digital Future Begins
The starting signal for the complete digitization of clinical workflows – from nursing and medical services to coding – will be given in July 2025. At the heart of the project is the introduction of Mesalvo’s Curve and Medication modules, whose functions are specifically tailored to the requirements of psychiatry and psychosomatics. The solution enables seamless interaction of all workflows, improves treatment quality, and thus also increases patient safety. Thanks to smooth integration into existing IT infrastructures and mobile usability via the HealthCentre | Reach Medanets Mobile App, a continuous and intuitive workflow is created – for all professional groups across the entire campus.

Paper is a Thing of the Past: Work More Efficiently, More Time for Patients
The added value for the clinic should become quickly noticeable: Media discontinuities will be a thing of the past, and information will be available exactly where it is needed – current, complete, and context-related. Documentation will be carried out directly at the point of care – ensuring continuity of care throughout the treatment process, reducing administrative effort, and significantly relieving medical staff. Paper forms and manual transfers will be eliminated – in favor of integrated, digital work throughout the care process.
A Partnership-Oriented Future
In addition to the special psychiatric chart, other modules from the Mesalvo HealthCentre portfolio will be implemented – including physician letter writing, the order-entry system, and the integration of the telematics infrastructure. A particular highlight is the introduction of the HealthCentre | Reach Medanets Mobile App based on the HealthCentre Cortex platform. The app enables intuitive digital documentation directly at the patient’s bedside and promotes cross-functional collaboration – for nursing staff as well as for physicians.

With over 300 beds at four locations, the clinic positions itself as a digital flagship project in psychiatric care. The go-live phase is planned for 2026. Already this year, all necessary licenses will be delivered – laying the foundation for a new era of digital work.
