Siya: ‘Everyone has been incredibly welcoming

IT Consultant Siya Pradhan, a recent graduate from the University of Sheffield with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, joined our team in the first week of September. Siya feels that the work done at Medanets is important and she is happy to be part of it. ‘As I researched the company, I was impressed by how its solutions contribute to healthcare. Although it has only been around two weeks, I can already say that I’m very excited and can’t wait to start making meaningful contributions.’

Siya also feels that she is welcome in the team and that our values are very much in line with those of her own.

‘From the moment I joined, everyone has been incredibly welcoming and helpful. I highly value team effort and firmly believe that collective and efficient teamwork is essential for delivering excellent results – a value that aligns well with Medanets’ values. Also, while I’m someone who likes being productive as it allows me to make an impactful contribution, maintaining a healthy work-life balance is equally important-a principle that Medanets upholds. As this is my first job and a completely new field, I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to grow both professionally and personally’, Siya concludes.

Parvathy: “Medanets is about being part of something that really makes a difference”

IT Consultant Parvathy Nair came on board just a week after Siya. Parvathy, who also holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, has around 13 years of experience across domains such as banking and finance, as well as learning and development. She came across Medanets as she was seeking new opportunities. Like Siya, Parvathy appreciates the meaning of the work we do. ‘What was appealing to me was the idea of how Medanets makes the life of healthcare professionals easier by creating innovative tools ‘, she says. ‘I believe that working at Medanets is not just about doing a job, it’s about being part of something that really makes a difference.’

‘When it comes to my values and how I work, I really believe in the power of strong relationships. I love working collaboratively. I’m a newbie in the healthcare domain, but I want to be always learning’, Parvathy adds.

Claire: ‘The passion and drive that I witnessed as a client are still there and more evident now than ever‘

Claire Stocks joined our team after a 20-year-career at the NHS, most of it specialised within the deteriorating patient portfolio. ‘Having been part of the design and implementation of Medanets at the County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust, I saw firsthand the passion and drive from the Medanets team. I could see this was something special. It was a big decision to move from the NHS to a supplier, and I didn’t take it lightly. It was the ethos of the company that convinced me to make the move. The passion and drive that I witnessed before I started are still there, and more evident now than ever.  I love the way the team has such a “can do” attitude despite all the barriers and challenges they face’, Claire says.

Markus: ‘Constant learning keeps the work meaningful‘

Markus joined our team in Finland to help us develop our iOS app, essential to our customers in the UK and elsewhere as well. The seasoned developer has experience from various industries, where he has been involved in the development of sports, banking and entertainment applications as well as security products. ‘In the software industry, constant learning keeps the work meaningful, and it seems that Medanets offers a wide variety of tasks. The technologies we use are modern, and employees can influence the choices the company makes. This gives the employees opportunities to learn, even if you have some years of experience behind you’, he says.

Officially, Parvathy, Siya and Claire joined us through our close-knit partner Jora Health Ltd. Markus works for us through his own company. However, we don’t think too much about these administrative details – we all belong to the same green-hearted Medanets family. Welcome on board, Parvathy, Siya, Claire, and Markus!
