The Use of Mobile Solutions Is Expanding in the Central Finland Health Care District

The Central Finland Health Care District is expanding the use of the Medanets mobile solutions it introduced previously. Underlying reasons for the expansion are positive user experience and the correspondence of the solution with unit needs and objectives.

The Central Finland Health Care District began using Medanets automatic documentation in the spring of 2016 and mobile point-of-care documentation in the spring of 2017 at the Neonatal and Neurological Units and the Coronary Care Unit. In the autumn of 2017, the use of these solutions is being expanded to include the Operating Unit, as well as the Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases Units. Underlying reasons for the expansion are positive user experience and the correspondence of the solution with unit needs and objectives to streamline nursing, automate functions and underline the principle of one-time entries.

Units already using mobile solutions make over 100,000 entries monthly, saving significant time for the actual patient care. The time savings are based on the minimisation of documentation errors, the elimination of double entries and the mobility of the data.
