Welfare District of Päijät-Häme Enters into Contract with Medanets
Medanets and Welfare district of Päijät-Häme, Lahti Region, concluded a contract covering the mobile point-of-care documentation and automatic data transferring. The solutions will be introduced in September 2017 in the Pediatric Unit. Medanets won this contract through public tendering.
In the future, therefore, the measured vitals and other observation values will be recorded in Pediatric Unit smartly using Ascom Myco 2 mobile phones. Recording is done next to the patient and the data is transferred directly into the Electronic Health Record. Earlier entries can also be browsed wirelessly without leaving the room.
With automatic data transferring, data from patient monitor systems can be transferred wirelessly directly into the Electronic Health Record, either automatically or by the nurse’s acknowledgment. In this way, documenting errors are reduced and double entries are eliminated. The Pediatric Unit in Welfare district of Päijät-Häme uses Philips monitors, to which Medanets has also implemented integrations.
At the same time, the Ascom Unite communication solution will be implemented at the Pediatric Unit. The Unit’s Ascom Myco 2 smartphones are thus also used to manage alarms from a nurse call system and medical devices improving workflow optimisation.
