The feature makes it easy and secure to capture, store and share clinical photos taken at the point of care. When the pictures and their meta data are stored directly in the right place, remote consulting and treatment monitoring become more efficient. The process has been shown to reduce unnecessary patient transfers and improve information security by minimising the need for manual data transfer from a camera to local computers.
The feature allows healthcare professionals to capture a clinical photograph using a smartphone and transfer this information over a secure connection directly to the organisation’s image repository. The photo is never stored in the smartphone’s memory. The photo also becomes immediately available to all other professionals participating in the patient’s care.
