Clean your mobile device to protect against viruses and bacteria.

It goes without saying that phones can be quite contaminated with different types of bacteria. Remember to clean your phone to help stop the spread of germs.

How to clean your mobile device

1. Turn off the device
2. Remove any cover or case and unplug any accessories
3. Dampen a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth with a small amount of disinfectant. You can also use alcohol-based wipes (containing more than 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol) with smartphones (Apple 2020, Samsung 2020).
4. Gently wipe the exterior surface of the device

Caution

• Do not apply disinfectant directly to the device
• Avoid getting liquid in the ports
• Clean the cover, case and accessories separately. See for example Apple’s advices on cleaning different materials (silicone, plastic or genuine leather).
