Sneak Peek: Own patient lists for outpatients

Outpatients can now be found on their own patient lists in Medanets. The new feature allows that outpatients’ data can be viewed and documented using the Medanets app.

The same patient can also be on both the outpatient and inpatient lists at the same time. The healthcare professional using the app can choose whether to document patient data for an outpatient or inpatient encounter.

For example, some of our customers treat emergency department’s patients as outpatients until they are admitted to a ward. In addition, there are use cases for the feature in areas such as polyclinics, home care and assisted living.

The feature was developed for our Norwegian customer Nordland hospital group (Nordlandssykehuset). The initial plan is to introduce the feature first in their outpatient clinics and the emergency department.
