Medanets selected for region-wide deployment across Northern Norway, serving half a million people
Medanets has signed a regional agreement with Helse Nord, the public authority responsible for specialist healthcare services in Northern Norway. The agreement enables the use of Medanets mobile solutions across the entire region of Northern Norway, extending all the way to Svalbard. The area covers approximately 45% of Norway’s total area and serves nearly half a million residents.

The fourth Medanets User Days was organised in Tampere 6–7 April 2022. This year, the event turned international for the first time.

Our Service & Delivery team was strengthened at the start of the year when Christian Sjöblom joined Medanets. Christian, who speaks both Finnish and Swedish, will handle deployments and trainings and provide support for customers in Sweden and Finland.

The use of Medanets is on the rise in Sweden – 14 hospitals have already implemented the mobile app
The Medanets mobile app for nursing landed in Sweden in 2017 as Region Västra Götaland (VGR) introduced the solution to its hospitals. Since then, the mobile solution has become an integral part of their nursing workflows. Besides VGR, the interest towards the Medanets solution has increased also elsewhere in Sweden.
Medanets partners with Cerner to enhance mobile working at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, UK
Medanets is being implemented alongside Cerner Millennium providing a mobile offering for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust’s EPR programme.
From notes on paper to mobile app: experiences one year later
The Medanets solutions were introduced to Nordland Hospital in 2020 and are now used in 25 wards. This has reduced their use of paper by 98 %. According to a recent survey made by the hospital, the end users are very happy with the app.
Medanets’ messaging solution in a successful pilot
Medanets has carried out a successful pilot of its new feature during the autumn 2021. The pilot concerned the use of the messaging feature of the Medanets app at home-care and centralised service housing units for both nurse-nurse and nurse-doctor messaging.
