The Wellbeing Services County of Lapland – Lapha
Lapland Central Hospital uses the Medanets mobile solutions with the Esko Electronic Health Record. The features used are Medanets Observation values and Monitored patients.
More reliable storage of patient data thanks to the Monitored patients solution
Lapland Central Hospital’s emergency outpatient clinic uses the Medanets Monitored patients solution. Values from patient monitors are confirmed in the Medanets app, after which they are stored in the Electronic Health Record. Monitor values transferred through the app can also be checked on a mobile device without having to leave the patient’s room.
Implemented in autumn 2018, the response to the changes has been positive at Lapland Central Hospital’s emergency outpatient clinic.
Now the parameters are stored in the Esko Electronic Health Record more reliably and more often.

Documenting observation values while caring for patients
With Medanets’ Observation values feature, nurses record measurements in the Electronic Health Record from the patient’s bedside. Healthcare professionals no longer need to spend time walking to and from the office, making duplicate entries.
Information documented about the patient’s condition is available almost in real-time to the professionals providing their care. This allows staff to react faster to any changes in the patient’s condition.
